Steven C. Jones, D.D.S.
General Dentist

Vice President and a member of the Board of Directors of Cincinnati Dental Services. A 1976 graduate of the Ohio State University College of Dentistry, Dr. Jones also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Ohio State in 1974. He joined C.D.S. in 1991 and serves as Managing Doctor of the Mt. Auburn and Eastgate offices. Dr. Jones is a native of Portsmouth, Ohio and a graduate of Northwest High School in McDermott, Ohio. Following dental school, he served for three years as a Captain and Dental Officer in the U. S. Army Dental Corps stationed at LaFlamme Army Dental Clinic, Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. While in the Army Dental Corps, Dr. Jones served as Chief of General Dentistry at LaFlamme Army Dental Clinic and provided care for the elite units of the 82nd Airborne Division, Special Forces, Army Rangers, and Delta Force. He also completed 960 hour specialty rotations under the guidance of Army Dental Corps specialists in each of the areas of Oral Surgery, Endodontics, Fixed Prosthodontics, and Removable Prosthodontics. While at Ft. Bragg, he also served as President of the Junior Officers Council of Ft. Bragg Dental Activities. Dr. Jones was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service in 1979. Following discharge from the Army, he practiced for twelve years in suburban Columbus, Ohio prior to joining C.D.S. While practicing in Columbus, he was awarded the Columbus Dental Assistants Society "Boss of the Year" Award for 1980. Dr. Jones also served as Secretary, Vice President, and President of the Hocking Valley Dental Society and as a member of the Ohio Dental Association Council on Communication and Marketing Services from 1984 to 1988. He serves on the American Dental Association's Publications Review Panel, and he was a member of the Advisory Board of the Eastland Career Center Dental Assisting Program in Columbus for four years. His professional affiliations include the Cincinnati Dental Society, the Ohio Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Dental Group Practice, the Ohio State University College of Dentistry Alumni Association, and the O.K.I. Study Club. Dr. Jones is licensed in Ohio and Kentucky. His areas of special interest include dental practice management and endodontics. Dr. Jones and his wife enjoy traveling, reading, concerts, theatre, and sports including the Reds, Bengals, Buckeyes, and Bearcats.


Connie D. Gawrych, D.D.S.
General Dentist - Pediatric Dentistry

A 1988 graduate of the Ohio State University College of Dentistry. Her hometown is Steubenville, Ohio, and she is a graduate of Wintersville High School in Wintersville, Ohio. She completed undergraduate studies at Steubenville University and Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology in 1984. Following graduation from dental school, Dr. Gawrych completed an Advanced General Dentistry Program at Ohio State before entering private practice. She joined C.D.S. in July, 1990 and quickly developed a love for pediatric dentistry. Dr. Gawrych left C.D.S. in 1998 to join a pediatric dental practice in Cincinnati. She returned in 2002 after four years practicing pediatric dentistry under the guidance of a pediatric dental specialist (pedodontist) and became the director of our Pediatric Dentistry Department. Dr. Gawrych is a member of the O.K.I. Dental Study Club. She has advanced training in straight wire orthodontics. Dr. Gawrych enjoys reading, scrapbooks, traveling, crafts, and spending time with her daughter.


Jeffrey W. Crawford, D.M.D.
General Dentist

A 1985 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine and has been practicing in southwestern Ohio his entire career. Dr. Crawford is a native of Uniontown, Pennsylvania where he attended Laurel Highlands High School, and he also received his undergraduate degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Crawford is affiliated with the O.K.I. Dental Study Club. He has a special interest in endodontics and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Crawford is married with two sons. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, coaching his son's basketball teams, exercising, and camping. He and his family live in Warren County.


Maria I. Bustamante, D.M.D.
General Dentist

Maria graduated cum laude from the University of Kentucky School of Dentistry (Class of 2004), and she also received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from U.K. in 1999. She is a native of Ecuador and a graduate of Stella Maris High School in Manta, Ecuador. Prior to joining C.D.S., Dr. Bustamante completed a General Practice Residency at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago. Dr. Bustamante is licensed in Illinois, Kentucky, and Ohio. She is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Illinois Dental Association, the Kentucky Dental Association, and the Chicago Dental Society. Dr. Bustamante's areas of special interest are oral diagnosis, oral surgery, and fixed prosthodontics. Her hobbies include reading, cooking, tennis, golf, traveling, dancing, and exercising.


Jane E. Huesman, D.D.S.
General Dentist

Jane has been a member of the C.D.S. staff since 1993. She is a 1987 graduate of the Ohio State University College of Dentistry with an undergraduate degree in zoology from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Dr. Huesman is a native Cincinnatian. She is a graduate of Anderson High School. Prior to joining C.D.S. she practiced in Cincinnati for six years as an associate in another practice. Dr. Huesman's areas of special interest include restorative and cosmetic dentistry. She is a member of the O.K.I. Dental Study Club. In her free time she enjoys crafting, reading, traveling, shopping and cooking. She is married and the mother of two daughters.


Kamran Shaikh, D.D.S.
General Dentist

Kamran is a 2005 graduate of the New York University School of Dentistry. Following dental school he completed a General Practice Residency at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. He joined CDS in 2006 following his residency. Dr. Shaikh is a native of Toronto, Canada, and he received his undergraduate degree in Human Biology from the University of Toronto following graduation from Downsview Secondary School in Toronto. Dr. Shaikh is licensed in both Ohio and Kentucky. He has a special interest in dental implants, fixed prosthodontics, and orthodontics, and he is a member of the O.K.I. Dental Study Club. Dr. Shaikh is married to a dentist and has a younger sister who is studying to be a physician. He speaks several languages, and in his free time he enjoys reading, participating in and watching sports, traveling, cooking and movies.
